ICYMI: Ellen from The Ask

I usually send these round ups monthly but missed May whilst selling my flat, so here’s two in one!

Since May, mucho has been happening. For one, today marks one month of me being based in the Spanish island Mallorca for an extended trip, and whilst the pace of life is slower, business continues to run as usual. It’s weird being in an environment of mostly holiday makers and people whose jobs look different to being sat behind a screen all day. A beach trip at lunch between sales emails and coaching sessions though? Not too bad.

Alongside some big life moves, I’ve made big business changes, too.

New systems, tools, team and tech have been introduced, and I always under-estimate the learning curve and time these take to embed. But they’ve all been in service of launching a new way of supporting Authority-led business owners: The Practice.

I’ve been working on The Practice in earnest since March and finallyyyy it kicks off next week with an amazing cohort of founding members!

It took so long because this isn’t a flash in the pan idea for me. It’s the product of nine previous group/hybrid coaching and mentoring programmes before it. I’ve taken all the learnings about what members need, and how I like to work best. It’s also had the input of seven different experts I’ve enlisted to help bring it to life (from a design, tech, marketing or operations perspective).

When I say I look after my people I really mean it.

The other reason The Practice didn’t move faster is that I’ve been carefully considering how it fits alongside the other offers I run. What helped me to iron this out was building a diagnostic tool to map the different phases business owners are in. The Practice was the advanced level. The founding cohort deadline’s now passed, so sit tight for the next intake if you missed it.

Either way, if you’re feeling (like many I’ve spoken to during this launch) that you’ve got some foundational work to do first, that’s good news: Authority Club is built exactly for you. (Take the 2-minute quiz and it’ll show you exactly where you’re at)

If you want to unlock your perfect positioning, define your One Big Idea, name and claim your expertise online so that you can fill your practice with aligned clients, this is for you.

Cohort five kicks off on Wed 29th July and runs to end of January 2027. The investment is £499 and includes the trainings and frameworks that have unlocked aligned positioning and Signature Offers for over 60 consultants and coaches. There’s a live call with me every month to get personalised spot coaching through it, too.

“I usually hate reading things. I loved the Authority Manifesto so much I read it twice,” a client said to me last week.

Grab a spot inside Authority Club whilst they remain.

Highlights from The Ask clients & community

1/ Inspired by the viral 100 Connections Challenge, Charlotte Horler founder of Nula offering Preventative workplace wellbeing for impact orgs, is running 100 weekday walks, off the screen, across Bristol and London. If you fancy joining Charlotte for a lunch time walk to chat all things mental health at work, get in touch.

2/ Jaz Marfo has relaunched her podcast, Making Work Work about the future of work and what it takes to exist in it as a high performer who’s over doing it via hustle and is taking guest submissions. If you’re doing a podcast circuit, Jaz is the real deal.

3/ As a founder, can a superpower become a derailer? After working with enough ‘spiky profile’ founders, people consultant Danielle Silvestro certainly thinks so. A very thought provoking essay I had the honour of supporting with some edits. Read: Spiky Founders.

4/ Donatella Caggiano was invited into one of the top business design schools in the world, Politecnico di Milano, to contribute to something deeply aligned with her practice: her approach on non-linear change for future leaders. Her Body of Work has been opening all kinds of aligned doors this year.
