ICYMI: Ellen from The Ask
Following 10 days out of the country it really feels like November flew by, and somehow, it’s time for another monthly round up…
This month at The Ask my role feels increasingly editorially-focused! The six-week sprint I’m running for Authority Entrepreneurs who want to use Long-Form content to spread their ideas and attract aligned clients is well underway and my time is now spent with my Editors hat on, reviewing their Hero Pieces. Authority Letters Member Sarah said the dedicated space for deep thinking away from the every day hustle has been a very welcome change. It its final phase, I’ll be helping members to distribute their pieces far and wide. Maybe you’ll spot some out in the wild, let me know!
For this reason, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about newsletter platforms lately, and since Beehiiv’s winter release, as a customer myself, wanted to share they are offering 20% off at the moment.
This time of year is also about supporting clients with their 2026 planning. From vision setting, planning to business roadmapping. New members of Authority Club will get a bonus 1-1 with me to do exactly this, so if you’d like the information about joining us, the waitlist is where spaces get offered first!
This Month’s Newsletter Round Up
Everything I shared this month to catch up on ICYMI
1/ I spent hundreds of pounds to work an entire a weekend… welcome to high level business conferences! Jokes aside, this month I spent an amazing weekend learning alongside what other Authority Entrepreneurs. 100 of them, in fact.
This particular newsletter got lovely replies like this:

2/ A previous client went from literally zero social media presence to amassing tens of thousands across platforms and growing her Authority business as a sexologist and intimacy coach. Get ready to feel inspired….
3/ It seems everything happened this month: FT media appearance, podcast guesting, conferences, new connections and remote work collided. I shared the BTS of what this looked like for me…
Curious for more of my BTS? I share more on Instagram. Let’s connect.
4/ From October, the most popular post on this newsletter was a Hero Piece of my own. This one took a lot of research…. Learn why the 9-5 is dying and the solution is precarious.

Community Conversations
Highlights from the wider community worth your time.
I had a great chat with Dr Michelle Mazur (a fellow newsletter pro) about her work helping over 500 experts to simplify their marketing. She has turned this into a 7 day email crash course if you too want to market your business without losing your sanity.
Laura Rosenberger and I crossed paths nearly five years ago and then again serendipitously this month at the Internet Serendipity tour, of course. In that time her work has evolved from wine into the field of AI. Very cool journey which she’s been sharing more about in her Substack, The Final Mile, showing non-technical leaders and operators out how to make AI work in their messy, real-world business. A great read.
Michele, with 20 years in the design field, is still kindly offering Ellen from The Ask readers a free website audit. For business owners ready to understand if, and where, their site could be losing trust (a key staple in authority-building!)… here’s your audit.
Work with Ellen into 2026
Support with your Authority led business before the year ends.
Authority Club doors are reopening soon, and new members will get a bonus 1-1 with me designed to clarify their 2026 roadmap (think offers, pricing and strategic business development to fill your consulting or coaching practice). Register your interest to be first in the know and access the best price point and offers when that becomes available.
I’m close to capacity for ongoing 1-1 clients as we head into the end of the year. If you’re considering working together in early 2026, now is a good time to start the conversation. We always begin with a free consultation to explore what you’re working on and whether we’re a good fit.
Thanks so much for reading, as always! I’ll be back in your inboxes next Wednesday.
Ellen from The Ask is brought to you by Ellen Donnelly, Founder of The Ask, offering strategic business coaching & mentorship to Authority Entrepreneurs ready to grow a profitable business in a way that feels true to them.
